Classes + Certifications

Check back in August for our next year of classes!

General Information and Policies

We ask that you please register online or contact Lori Moffa at lori@npcenter.org.

Deadlines: Program registration usually closes two days prior to the event where the class is in-person, or the day before when online, space permitting. If registration is closed due to the class being full, we encourage contacting us to be added to the waiting list.

Refunds must be requested in writing and received at least two business days prior to the scheduled program (see more details below).

When registering for a class you will need to name the person(s) who will be attending. Only the named person(s) may attend, and this includes all classes both online or in-person. If you would like to change the attendee, please follow the instructions for registration cancellation below.

All payments must be made in full at least two business days prior to the class. If you are unable to do so, please contact our main email address (hi@npcenter.org). Failure to pay in this timely fashion will make your organization ineligible to participate in or receive any further Nonprofit Center services. Checks or money orders should be payable to “The Nonprofit Center” but, for the security of your payment, we encourage paying by credit card or ACH.

A package price has been created for each of our Certificates, to provide additional savings to students who wish to plan and schedule their educational experience. Only members (at any level) are eligible for this discounted package price and you must register and pay for all classes at once. Credits will be issued for cancellations.

Refunds will be given only when requested in writing to The Nonprofit Center at least two business days prior to the class.* All refunds will be charged a $10 processing fee, which will be deducted from the refund. Unless otherwise requested, credits will be issued for all cancellations.

If you cancel before 48 hours prior to the class you may send another participant from your organization or receive a credit. If you cancel fewer than 48 hours prior, or fail to attend, you will be considered a “no show” and are responsible for payment, since we have held space for you at our expense. If you cancel your participation in more than two programs in an academic year, we reserve the right to issue a credit in lieu of a refund.

*For participants in an evening class: Each evening class is broken into 3 parts. If you cannot attend one or more of the parts, you must submit a written request as outlined above for the entire 3-part series 48 hours prior to the first date. If you are part of a Certificate program, attendance at all 3 parts of any class is mandatory in order to receive your certification.

Send cancellation requests to:

C/o TriCounty Community Network
13 Armand Hammer Blvd Ste 102, Pottstown, PA 19464
email: lori@npcenter.org

Cancellations are acknowledged upon receipt and we strongly suggest emailing your cancellation request to ensure timely receipt/processing.

Directions to all our classes are included with your confirmation letter. Programs can be held in various locations so please be sure to check the exact location of your class.

Where classes are held in-person, we will follow the current COVID-19 policy of La Salle University and our host venue. If any COVID-19 restrictions are in place at the time of a class, we will alert you in the weeks prior to it.

If you arrive at a class and are not willing to follow the COVID-19 restrictions, you will be asked to leave. We may give you a credit or try to rebook you in a future or online class, depending on the circumstances.

Programs are cancelled* when Philadelphia public schools are closed or delayed due to inclement weather. Be sure to check your radio or TV for up-to-date information. Do not call The Nonprofit Center because if you’re snowed in, chances are we are, too. You will be informed as to the rescheduled date.

*Online classes (including webinars) will usually not be cancelled due to inclement weather.

Occasionally circumstances require that The Nonprofit Center cancel a program. Should that occur, we will notify you as quickly as possible, work with you to find an appropriate replacement session, or send you a credit or a refund.

Certificates in Nonprofit Management, Fundraising, and a Customized Build-Your-Own

In today’s competitive environment, nonprofits and those who work with them need to position themselves for success. One of the most effective ways to elevate yourself and your organization is through The Nonprofit Center’s Certificates. Advance your skills and career through a non-degreed, in-depth learning experience in a specific skill set, an achievement you can proudly add to your resume and demonstrate your competency and commitment.

Each of the programs, in the thoughtfully curated collection, requires between nine and 10 courses given in a recommended sequence to progressively build expertise. {My nonprofit, Cuddle My Kids} would not be a success had I not taken the courses at …The Nonprofit Center – the program and the instructors were incredible. I always felt surrounded by such intelligent and insightful people who really wanted to help the students be a success.

I would recommend all the courses I have taken at {The Nonprofit Center}. It is an incredible amount of learning for such a small amount of money and in such a short amount of time. Extremely efficient and useful for working professionals.
Rachel Segal, Executive Director,
The Primavera Fund
It was truly a very intellectually exciting experience for me. The knowledge gained from every class was so intense; and it forced to jump start my thoughts into uncharted territories to help me better serve at my organization. With the help of the manuals (which you get to keep), the lessons/skills learned were easily transferable back to the whole organization. Thank you for the experience and outcome!”
